Welcome Dr. Michael Barrett to Westover Dentistry!

October 24, 2024

We are excited to announce that Dr. Michael Barrett
has joined our Westover Dentistry family
as our new associate dentist!

Born and raised in the Richmond area, Dr. Barrett’s journey into dentistry began at a young age, inspired by his father, a dedicated general dentist. Witnessing his father’s passion for patient care and the importance of building lasting relationships left a profound impact on Dr. Barrett. He learned that dentistry goes beyond restoring smiles; it’s about prioritizing the comfort and well-being of patients.

Dr. Barrett brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our practice. He graduated from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry and completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. This program equipped him with the skills to tackle complex multidisciplinary treatment plans and full mouth rehabilitations, enhancing both the aesthetics and functionality for his patients. His expertise extends to digital dentistry, tooth extractions, bone grafting, dental implants, cosmetic enhancements, and wisdom teeth removal. With certifications in nitrous oxide, oral, and IV moderate sedation,

Dr. Barrett is committed to providing specialized care that prioritizes patient comfort and safety.

What truly sets Dr. Barrett apart is his warm and reassuring demeanor, which helps patients feel relaxed and cared for. He appreciates the blend of biomedical sciences and artistry in dentistry and approaches each case with meticulous attention to detail, aiming for optimal outcomes on the first try.

Outside of the office, Dr. Barrett loves spending time with his family and friends. He and his wife, Caitlyn, enjoy exploring the great outdoors, attending local sporting events, and discovering new breweries and restaurants. He is particularly thrilled to return to his hometown and serve the community where he grew up, continuing the legacy of outstanding patient care that his father inspired.

Please join us in welcoming Dr. Michael Barrett to the Westover Dentistry team!

Warm regards,

Now is a good time to consider your dental benefits and how you can make the most of them before they reset. Many dental insurance plans operate on a calendar year basis, meaning your unused benefits may not roll over into the next year.
